Swansea Community Cottage is your local neighbourhood centre

We are here to help the local community with information, advice and referral services.
In addition, we provide targeted early intervention programs and activities, groups and courses for locals and visitors alike to attend.
Check in regularly as there are often additional special events and activities you can join. If you are new to the area or have lived here for years, come and join in!

We are currently accepting online applications for COVID and Christmas Hampers.


CHRISTMAS HAMPERS

Families and Individuals can apply for Christmas Food Hampers to be distributed in early December.  They will include a range of pantry items, along with some treats for a festive lunch or dinner.  Priority will be given to residents of postcode 2281 in the first instance.

COVID SUPPORT HAMPERS

Covid 19 Hampers are also currently open for application.  Through a grant in conjunction with Lake Macquarie City Council, Good 360 and Foodbank they include fresh fruit and vegetables, a meat tray and toiletries.  These packs are for individuals and families who have been directly impacted by COVID in the past few months, either through loss of work or hours, direct illness or request to isolate or quarantine or need for care and support. 

These are currently closed for application and we will reopen if we receive additional funding.

Atwea College offers a dedicated student support service that can assist you to achieve your goals with personal support and encouragement.
The course is to be held at Swansea Community Cottage, from 9.30am to 3.00pm, 2 days a week for 24 weeks.
It is free to eligible participants through NSW Smart and Skilled Training.
